Senior Production Engineer

The Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all artificial lift activities, reducing LOE's and lifting liquids primarily from horizontal wells. The position will oversee all pumpjacks, well designs, nodal analysis and review of new telemetry technology for the company's current 80 producing wells as well as the projected 75 to 100 wells to be drilled each year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily office supervision of producing wells and properties operated and managed by the Canonsburg, PA office of Range Resources. Design and direct procedures for remedial work on producing wells as needed.
• Coordinate connection of new wells after frac-stimulation to bring wells on line and into production quickly. Direct the placement of surface facilities and connection to the gathering system. Coordinate the "turn on" of the wells with the field personnel and communicate any design changes made to the facilities.
• Direct company and contract field personnel on a daily basis to enhance production, operations and facilities. Oversee downhole failure tracking to maximize pump life on wells with artificial lift.
• Design, direct and supervise water handling activities and work within an industry-wide water group to improve water recycling and conservation.
• Work in a team environment with geology, reservoir, completion & field personnel to maximize production and efficiency while reducing LOE and capital costs.
• Provide a leadership role in communicating Standard Operating Procedures to non-shale areas in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Assist in starting up field offices and hiring field personnel in new step-out areas.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in various productions/operations-oriented positions with a strong knowledge of nodal analysis. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to grow into a Production Manager role as the region continues to expand its operations.

Solid production experience necessary with plunger lift, pumping units and various artificial lift methods along with strong PC skills. Experience working in Shale gas operations is a plus.
