Completion Engineer

The Completion Engineer will manage completions, re-completions and workover activities for the company's three drilling rigs and the projected 75 to 100 wells to be drilled in 2008. The  Completion Engineer will work with a team of Drilling and Production Engineers while overseeing the specific completion and production tasks of the Marcellus Shale and other locations in the Appalachian region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing completion programs including flow modeling, stress analysis, equipment specification and selection, cost estimates and post appraisals.
• Evaluating operations execution.
• Documenting key learnings from post appraisals.
• Ensuring completion programs, program amendments, and dispensation to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed.
• Liaising with sub-surface and production team to ensure life-of-field requirements are built into the completion design.
• Monitoring all aspects of well completion operations.
• Performing post-analyses and benchmarking the results.
• Observing service company inspections.
• Recommending engineering studies to improve completion operational performance.

Qualifications: The Completion Engineer should have ideally 5 to 7 years of completion, production engineering, and/or workover experience with an emphasis on cost effective completion designs including: flow modeling, stress analysis, equipment specification, cost estimating, and project appraisal.
