Midstream Engineer

The Midstream Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining compressor stations, gathering systems and related equipment. Additional future projects that the Midstream Engineer will be involved in include design work, construction and training of junior staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to applicable codes and regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for dry & wet gas gathering facilities between the wellhead and market - includes design, construction, planning, optimization and execution for pipeline and compression/dehydration facilities.
• Ensure that facilities are designed and constructed per applicable codes and regulations.
• Work with project team in design, construction, and optimization & planning of all surface facilities.
• Monitor existing operations for opportunities to optimize and improve. Build relationships with vendors and contractors to time timely construction.
• Develop standard designs for pipeline and compression systems.
• Develop technical training program for junior engineering & field staff.

Qualifications: • Minimum of 3-5 years plus experience in industry; Petroleum Engineering.
• Pipeline and compression experience required.
• P&ID.
• Demonstrated experience in facility design and project management.
• Experience in the following areas would be a plus:
DOT Part 192, API standards, ASME B31.3& B31.8, NDT
Facility startup, trouble shooting, optimization
Wet system design – NGL's
Safety and environmental aspects
Processing experience
Piping, Pipeline, Facility, Design Software; Mapping software
Pipeline & process modeling software; MS Project
Controls design & SCADA
Civil/structural
Project management
Alignment mapping
• “Hands-on" work style; accustomed to in the field work environment.
