Drilling Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan drilling projects; prepare bit, mud, casing and directional cement programs.
• Prepare AFE and cost estimates for drilling projects.
• Coordinate with geology and prepare drilling prognosis for drilling projects.
• Supervise drilling efforts with the Drilling Operations Team.
• Ensure accuracy of drilling reports.
• Coordinate with Geology to select desired completion intervals.
• Prepare completion procedures.
• Coordinate completion operations with the completion and production engineers.
• Coordinate frac schedule with vendors.
• Supervise stimulation and flowback.
• Represent Operations on various core property teams.
• Supervise Drilling Field personnel.

Qualifications: The ideal experience for this position is 5 to 7 years of drilling and related operations experience, including exposure to horizontal drilling. In addition to the drilling experience, the position requires an individual who brings a well-rounded knowledge and exposure to completion and workover activities. Qualified candidates must be able to work in, and develop all phases of drilling; from well design and engineering, to drilling and completion activities.
