VICE PRESIDENT OF MANUFACTURING – Energy Industry
Houston, Texas Location
Prominent Houston industrial general contractor with on-site manufacturing facility seeks a Vice President of Manufacturing. The Vice President will manage the day-to-day operations for the manufacturing division. This position will be completely responsible for project management and the successful operation and growth of the manufacturing division. Position will report to the Executive Vice President.
Responsibilities:
Oversee/manage/direct/motivate the manufacturing division. Establish work standards and evaluate staff's performance. Identify, address, and implement employee development and training opportunities.
Interact with various internal departments, including cost accounting, sales, production and engineering in the development of pricing and cost recommendations. Participate in the development of sales forecasts for use in production planning, manufacturing operations, and inventory control.
Day-to-day project management of manufacturing division.
Implement process and economic improvements.
Embed and transfer best practices throughout the facility.
Safety and environmental compliance. QA/QC responsibility.
Identify and recommend process improvements and materials to lower production costs or increase production levels.
Respond to product related informational requests and serve as the primary contact for customer service issues pertaining to the product line. Develop, present, and/or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.
Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineer or Chemical Engineering degree preferred. MBA a plus.
• 10+ years senior level management experience in a company that manufactures/fabricates energy process systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards and codes, including ASME and National Board codes.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical engineering topics and specialized information.
• Strong business acumen, judgment and product development skills.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to relate to all levels of the organization, as well as, outside vendors and consultants.
Salary Range: Salary and Bonus Potential Commensurate with Skills and Experience
